Abolish Public Education!

I have made the point that much of the assault on public education has been funded by proponents of privatization. At the risk of sounding paranoid, there is a tea party candidate, David Harmer, running for California's 11th congressional district who has called for public education to be abolished completely. "Only private schools can provide the diverse opportunities children need to succeed." According to some analysts, this nut job may actually win.
