In a glaring example of Reverse Robin Hood Syndrome, President Obama signed off on an extension of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy and agreed to a reduction in the estate tax, while eliminating the Making Work Pay credit, which benefited the poorest Americans.

Over 25% of the savings from these initiatives will go directly to the richest 1% of Americans. The only group who will see their taxes go up are the poorest Americans, individuals earning less than $20,000 per year, and families earning less than $40,000.

Obama, "It's tempting  tempting not to negotiate with hostage takers, unless the hostage gets harmed. Then, people will question the wisdom of that strategy. In this case, the hostage was the American people, and I was not willing to see them get harmed." 

Yeh, right.
