Protests Grow in Spain as School Students attacked



Students protesting education cuts in Valencia, Spain, were violently attacked by police last week. Police wearing body armor charged students and attacked them with batons and dragged them on the ground.

On February 20th, 26 students were detained including several minors. The president of the Valencia Federation of High School Students was clubbed by police and then arrested, according to the Teacher Solidarity website.

Solidarity demonstrations are planned in Barcelona and Madrid.
